  1. Setup is unable to locate Microsoft CD
  2. Extensions (MSCDEX.EXE) and is unable to
  3. proceed with the installation.

  5. Options:

  7. <R>OK<N> - Setup will exit
  8.  
  9. <G>Suggestion<N> - Follow these tips, choose
  10. OK then run "HPSETUP.EXE" in the
  11. \HPCDR\DRIVERS directory.
  12.  
  13. Typically Setup is unable to detect
  14. MSCDEX.EXE because it is in the wrong
  15. place in your AUTOEXEC.BAT file.  Setup
  16. makes a good attempt at putting the
  17. entry in the proper location, however if
  18. your AUTOEXEC.BAT is especially complex
  19. or uses Multi-Boot menus, the entry
  20. might have been put in the wrong place.
  21. Edit your AUTOEXEC.BAT to make sure that
  22. the MSCDEX.EXE entry is in the proper
  23. location and reboot your computer.
